Russian air defense forces have eliminated two aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of the Bryansk region. This was reported by the region’s governor, Alexander Bogomaz, on his Telegram channel .
“Two more unmanned aircraft of the aircraft type were discovered and destroyed by air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defense ,” the governor said in a statement published at midnight.
The head of the region assured that there were no casualties or damage. Emergency and operational services are currently working on the scene, he continued.
Bogomaz thanked the air defense units for repelling the drone attack.
The day before , it was reported that six aircraft-type drones were destroyed over the Bryansk region. The governor noted that no one was hurt and no damage was recorded.
Drone attacks on Russian regions began in 2022 amid a special military operation in Ukraine . Kiev has not officially confirmed its involvement, but in August 2023, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian president’s office Mykhailo Podolyak said that the number of drone strikes on Russia “will increase.”
